Welcome to BCC

Bathurst Community Church is an evangelical Christian church.

This means we believe the Bible is God’s Word to us, so what God says in the Bible is incredibly important.  Because of this, at our main meeting on Sunday morning, we focus on Bible teaching.  We read the Bible and then the preacher explains it to help us understand what it means to live God’s way.  Then, with God’s help, we try to apply what we’ve learned in our daily lives.  Being a Christian is not just for our own personal benefit – we want to serve others in what we do too.

As far as church services go, we’re fairly informal.  We enjoy singing and spend time in prayer as well.  There are usually some announcements about upcoming events and news from people we support to work overseas.

Kids and little ones also get the chance to learn about God in the Sunday School and crèche.  These run during the preaching time of the meeting so that everyone can be involved in hearing God’s Word.
